Finding the Best Miele Vacuum Cleaner: Which Option is Best For You?

Whether you’ve been using the hand-me-down vacuum cleaner from your grandmother for years or you simply can’t seem to pick up the dirt and dust with your current modern model, now’s a great time to reconsider your current cleaning tool, and we can help.

Miele vacuum cleaners are some of the best products on the market today, and with good reason. Not only are they beloved for their powerful yet quiet motor, but each model is also lightweight, includes an optimal filtration system and is durable for even the toughest messes.

Regardless of your lifestyle and living situation - perhaps you have a dog and are prone to allergies, or you’re cleaning hardwood flooring over carpeting (or vice versa) - we can help you find the best Miele vacuum cleaner based on the way you live.

So which is the best miele vacuum cleaner to buy? Below, we’ve highlighted everything you need to know about the best Miele vacuum cleaner options for you:

Best Miele vacuum cleaners for Pet Hair

As a pet owner, you know your dog, cat or other furry friend is an extension of your family. That doesn’t mean that the hair it leaves behind isn’t bothersome, however. Finding the right best Miele vacuum to pick up pet hair solely depends on your type of flooring, as detailed below:

  • For pet hair on hard floors: If you’re dealing with a lot of pet hair on flooring like laminate, hardwood or ceramic, almost any vacuum that works with a suction method would work well. The Miele Blizzard CX1 Cat and Dog Vacuum Cleaner is the best Miele vacuum cleaner for this type of flooring because of its long narrow bristles that target the surface with ease.
  • For pet hair on carpet: Pet hair on wall-to-wall carpeting, a canister vacuum cleaner with a dedicated carpet tool, usually in the form of a motorized attention, will make for a more concentrated clean. The Miele Complete C3 Cat and Dog Vacuum Cleaner is the best tool for you in this scenario. It comes with the powerful, height-adjustable SEB228, a motorized carpet tool. It includes a powerful motor to push the large brush roll with short bristles. With this mechanism, the vacuum cleaner can deep clean and remove large amounts of pet hair from thick carpets and rugs.

Best Miele vacuum cleaners for carpets

While you don’t need pets to reap the benefits of the options listed above, you might be thinking to yourself, Which is the best miele vacuum cleaner for carpeting, even if I don’t have a furry friend? In searching for a vacuum cleaner specifically designed for carpets, you have two options to choose from, one with:

  • An air-driven turbo brush tool - the roller brush spins by the suction created by the vacuum.
  • A motorized powerhead, which is driven by a motor.

The Miele Complete C3 Excellence Vacuum Cleaner includes an electric powerhead tool to target wall-to-wall carpeting, but can also be used on different types of flooring when you turn off the brush roll. This is the best Miele vacuum cleaner to consider for versatile cleaning.

Best Miele vacuum cleaners for hard floors and rugs

Cleaning bare floors is a bit different than carpeting. With hard flooring, like laminate, hardwood or ceramic, the suction doesn’t have to be as concentrated because the vacuum isn’t fighting with a textured foundation to suck up the dirt. That said, you still want to find an option that will get the job done the first time around. So which Miele vacuum is best for hard floors and area rugs?

We put our faith in the Miele Classic C1 Hardfloor Vacuum Cleaner. This is Miele's lightest vacuum cleaner for hard floors, as well as flat and low pile rugs. Beyond being lightweight and durable, the bag has a 4.5 liter dust capacity, as well as variable suction control. That means you can control the amount of suction required to precisely clean the surface you are vacuuming. With this type of control, you can move your vacuum from the hard flooring to the furniture, area rugs and even window coverings like delicate curtains.

Chris - July 29, 2022

Hi; We are searching for a new vacuum (went from Hoover > Dyson > Bissell) but have been rather disappointed and Miele seems to be the best but I am confused with the models. I have read the blog and watched videos but still am unsure so I will provide you with my scenario. I live in a 1350sq ft rancher with about 800sq ft low pile (about 1/4 inch) carpet and the rest hardwood floor, we have no pets. My wife doesn’t like using the carpet power head on the hardwood floors as it smashes into stuff and leaves marks. I am unsure which would be the best model for me, can you provide your choice? She does want a dedicated power head for carpets (and I would assume a dedicated one for hardwood floors). Thank you for your time.

Chris.
