  It is suction-driven, with no separate brush motor. That keeps it light, quiet, and gentle on hard floors. It is also why we recommend it for looped pile carpets, thin cut-pile carpets, and rugs, and for low amounts of pet hair, rather than thick cut-pile carpet or heavy shedders.
• How loud is it?
  A maximum of 75 dB at full suction, and noticeably quieter at the three lower levels. For most cleaning you won't need full power on hard floors.
• How do I know when to change the bag and filter?
