The Miele Boost CX1 is a compact bagless canister vacuum for smaller homes that are mostly bare floors. Hard floors don't need a rotating brush, so it cleans on airflow alone through a combination floorhead with no moving parts, at 12.5 lbs and with no bags to buy.
Not every home needs a full-size machine. A condo or an apartment that's hardwood and tile with a couple of flat rugs asks for something you can pull out of a cupboard one-handed, run around the place, and put back. The Boost CX1 is that machine with Miele engineering behind it: a compact body, a floorhead with nothing spinning inside it because a hard floor doesn't want a brush anyway, and a bagless bin so there is nothing to reorder when you run out.

Why doesn't it have a rotating brush?
Because hard floors don't need one. Dirt sits loose on a hard surface, so suction alone lifts it, while a spinning brush can scatter it ahead of the nozzle. Leaving it out keeps the floorhead simple, quiet, and gentle on your finish. -
Can it handle pet hair?
On bare floors, yes, easily. Hair sits loose on hardwood and tile so the airflow lifts it straight in, and the practical limit is the 1-litre bin, which a heavy shedder will fill quickly. On looped and flat rugs, keep it to low amounts, since there is no brush agitating the pile. -
What carpet does it suit?
Looped and flat low-pile rugs. For cut-pile carpet, thin or thick, you want a machine that includes a proper carpet tool. -
What does it cost to run?
There are no bags to buy. The Hygiene AirClean filter is replaced about once a year, and that is the only regular consumable. -
Is it big enough for a whole house?

Great vacuum
As advertised, it works great on hardwood floor, tile and short-pile rugs. The suction is amazing and clean out is so easy. We have a person and a dog with long hair that challenges it, but we anticipated that effect.

Works well on hard wood floors. Suction power is strong, and vacuum is easy to move. Hose handle not the most comfortable in hand and canister not very large so more frequent emptying.
Awesome at every level!
We have 3 huskies that shed all the time. It was nice to see the head of the vaccum suck hair that was beside it and not having to directed on top of it. And that was not the highest setting.

Good product as described. One star off: the delivery company left a 700$ item on the porch in broad daylight even if a BIG mention on package said that signature WAS required. Missed half a day of work and got a pretty huge anxiety rush driving home in emergency. Not cool Dicom!!!
Great suction without being too loud. The swivel head reaches under furniture and the vacuum is light enough to easily carry up the stairs. Nice long electrical cord with efficient recoil. Emptying the bagless debris catcher is quite painless; the convenient hatch on the bottom means less dust when emptying. We are still in the honeymoon phase, so I am vacuuming more often than usual. So far, happy with my purchase!

We have used our new ‘Miele Boost CX1 Bagless Vacuum Cleaner’ & love the strong suction & cleaning ability. It was a bit of a learning curve, but once we read through the instructions & care details in the information booklet, we loved using it. Our only issue was with the ‘Time Strip Filter’ on the Hepa Airclean exhausted filter. We noticed an odd odour emanating from that area of the cleaner while vacuuming. We had not realized that we needed to activate this feature & concluded this might be the issue. We will have to figure out (via instructions) how to activate the exhaust filter strip & hopefully this will solve the ‘burnt odour’. Otherwise a great vacuum.
Best vacuum ever! It really does have power. Before discovering Miele vacuums I was buying a vacuum every 2 years and they never performed as I wanted. The moment I turned on my Miele boost CX1 and I saw how well it cleaned my rugs… I don’t think I’ve ever had them this clean. I would need to pass over the dirt a couple of times but with the Miele vacuum passing over once was enough. Vacuuming for me has become pleasant and not a bother. Really happy I decided to go with Miele.
I purchased the CX1 Boost after long deliberation to purchase a Miele vacuum cleaner. I didn’t want to purchase bags because having 4 dogs would likely involve a lot of cost replacing bags in the future. While it cost more than I wanted to pay, even with the Christmas special offer, I liked that it had a decent warranty. I love how light it is and makes cleaning the stairs a breeze. Much quieter than my last cleaner to the point I actually question if it is working but for sure it is, the evidence is in the dust canister. It feels a bit strange using the stick after using an upright for so long but easier to manoeuvre around and under furniture. It adjusts quickly, and super easy to attach the crevice tool for the baseboard then switch back over. It has a little slider on the side of the cleaner to pop the cleaning head in for storage so it doesn’t fall all over, I thought this was a great design addition. The filters are so easy to access which makes ongoing maintenance a breeze, no screwdriver required! I do regret not getting the pet CX1 vacuum because this doesn’t have a roller bar attachment and feels a little sticky on carpet but price was a factor in my decision. Thankfully I have mostly vinyl laminate. I do love that I can use it easily on lightweight rugs by reducing the suction so it doesn’t suck up the rug! Overall it was very easy to set up and happy with the purchasing aside from the roller bar attachment. Vacuum Warehouse delivered quickly and great communication regarding delivery and set up.
Thousand times better than dyson The Miele Boost CX1 PowerLine is the most expertly engineered appliance I have ever owned. Everything is through, brilliantly engineered, expertly delivered, with instructions an illiterate person could follow. The bagless canister works flawlessly and the space saved seems to be devoted to the motor power. It is uncannily quiet, even on the highest setting, considering how powerful it is. Everything is just where you would want it to be on this machine. Had a dyson canister for 2 years. Everything about that dyson was wrong. Heavy and awkward hose and wand, low suction and terrible loud sound. My old Kenmore was way better than my old dyson. Over priced regular department store vacuum with heavy advertisement. This is what I can tell about my old dyson. This Miele however, is surprisingly light, and easy to pull, integrated wheels move smoothly and turn easily. You could easily carry it from room to room with its large, comfortable carrying handle, it you wanted to. The attachments are right where you need them, at the top of the hose nearest you. As some reviewers have noted, this amazing appliance wants to be cleaned every so often, maybe monthly. It's not that it won't continue to work great, because when our former housekeeper used it she never cleaned it. Now that I am semi-retired and do the vacuuming, it's just so easy to take apart, rinse off, and put back together that I just find myself saying, "Why not keep is sparkling?"
Not like a big box store brand I just had brand new carpets installed no less than 2 weeks ago. I've been vacuuming daily with my old Shark vacuum that I got from Costco but the amount of crap this new Boost Miele just pulled up - on a brand new carpet - is honestly staggering. Very comfortable/easy to maneuver and it's not as awkward to carry as my old ones. The wand adjusts to your Hight and the floor nozzle can switch from carpet to floor with one push. The suction control is very helpful to lower the suction on carpets and increase the suction on hard wood floors. Cord goes in and is long enough to reach almost everywhere in my apartment. And no bad smell comes out of the vacuum! Love it
Just love it Not only is this Boost miele vacuum easy to use, it is easy to maneuver as well. Very quiet even on the strongest suction. NO dust or residue smell when vacuuming so the filters do their job well too. Love the look too. I was perpetually having to touch up chips and rub marks on corners from our older kenmore vacuums. The price is steep but I am betting it will be the last one I ever purchase. I got free 5 year warranty.
Love it I always wanted a Miele vacuum cleaner and I am happy I bought this one. We have two dogs that lose ALOT of hair but this vacuum takes care of it all! I love the sleek design and how quiet it is. The suction level is adjustable and perfect for hardwood floor, runners, and carpet. I would purchase it again!
Unbelievable vacuum I was reluctant to buy another vacuum since I had no luck im past few years. What ever I bought was just falls advertisement and falls promises. I have mostly floors and some area rugs. You think it is easy to clean such hosue yah? No, it is not. I had a Shark, a bissell a roomba and a Dyson for the last 6 or 7 years. They were just useless machines that pushed dust around, made a horrible noise and stunk like a skunk. My mother has Miele vacuum in Germany and she advised me to go with Miele. I never had or heard about Miele brand. I searched a bit and saw Vacuum warehouse company. They have grate videos that are very helpful and to the point. I got this Boost miele vacuum about 4 months ago. I swear that this vacuum is by far the best vacuum I have ever used. It is quieter more powerful and lighter than all other ones. The cord is long and the floor head moves very nicely. The bucket is very easy to empty. Rod is a gentleman. He is helpful and very prompt.
Best sucer ever The suction on this high tech vacuum is so powerful that you need to lower the suction on area rugs and upholstery. If you go on rugs on full suction, it lifts the whole rug up the floor LOL. I've never had any vacuum this powerful, this light weight and this easy to work with. I got 5 Yr free warranty and free shipping. The staff of vacuum warehouse are so thoughtful and helpful. They sent me a video to teach me how to use the vacuum and how to maintain it. Rod is amazing. Amazing vacuum You will love it the moment that you get it outside the box. The amazing designs and the quality attachments tells everything about it. I use it few times a day and I can't say enough positive thing about this miele vacuum. I love everything except the color. I love the black color but miele makes every model only in one color. The black has different attachments that is not suitable for my flooring.
Best vacuum It is truly the best vacuum that I have ever had. From My Mom's old Electrolux to my useless Dyson, I have had many many vacuums. This Miele is not even comparable. Unbelievable Amazing suction, very lightweight, very easy to push around and extremely quiet. We live in a 3 floor townhouse and moving a vacuum up and down stairs could be challenging. This Miele boost vacuum is a life server. The cord is long enough that with one plug in, I reach the whole floor. Emptying the cup is very easy and is not messy. I love it. It has 5 year full warranty. It is not one those cheap department store vacuum that you see everywhere. The quality, design and high tech technology used in it is unbelievable. My every day help. This little vacuum has become my best help and my best friend. I use it all day long as my toddler and my dog have no mercy when it comes to a tidy and clean house. I never put this vacuum away as I am constantly cleaning after them. The dirt cup is very easy to empty and the vacuum comes with a parking system that it always can be clean ready. LOL The HEPA filtration is also a big plus for me as my child is always chasing the vacuum when I am cleaning. The sound is very reasonable and makes the work more enjoyable.
