Jura E8 Super Automatic Coffee and Espresso Machine - Piano Black

The JURA E8 is one of the best-selling models in the Jura lineup. The reason is that the E8 gets a lot of the technology trickled down from the higher end, more expensive models but is still priced very reasonably for a super-automatic machine. The E8 now prepares a total of 16 different specialties at the touch of a button. It now also offers hot water for green tea, special coffee, espresso doppio and espresso macchiato at the touch of a button. The E8 gets the Pulse Extraction Process which (P.E.P.®) optimizes the aroma of a short ristretto or espresso. Fine foam technology creates airy, feather-light milk foam for cappuccino or other specialties.

Your Drink, Your Way

  • 7 Grinder Setting: The finer the grind, the stronger the drink. When the beans are ground correctly, the coffee or espresso will flow evenly into the cup with a good crema. The crema should have an even nutbrown colour. The grinder setting you select will be used for all coffee drinks.

You can set the amount of coffee, Portion size, the brewing temperature, and pre-brewing for each drink individually.

  • Amount of Coffee: You can choose from 10 levels of coffee.The greater the quantity, the stronger the coffee.
  • Portion size: For coffee drinks, you can choose the portion size from 0.5oz to 2.5 ox (15ml-80ml). For Milk drinks, you can choose the portion of foam from 3 seconds to 120 seconds. For Hot water, you choose the portion size from 0.5 oz to 15 oz (25ml-450ml)
  • Brew Temperature: You can set your ideal brew temperature. Choose from Low, Medium, or High Brew temperature setting.

Considerations:

  • Limited Home Screen Options: The E8 can only have 4 options on the TFT display at a time. However, by simply scrolling through the menu you can easily access the extended list of specialty coffees.
  • Hot Water: While the E8 dispenses hot water, it comes from the frother nozzle. This can create murky water if your frother was recently used to steam milk.
  • Elimination of Rotary Dial: The E8 does not have a Rotary dial. However, Drinks are still adjustable on the fly using the on-screen arrows and buttons.

Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P)

The variable brewing unit has a capacity of 5 to 16 grams and ensures the ideal brewing conditions at all times. The Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.®) developed by JURA optimises the extraction time. To make a ristretto or espresso, it forces the hot water through the ground coffee at short intervals. This process allows the flavours of the coffee to fully develop.

Professional Aroma Grinder

The Professional Aroma Grinder includes 12.2%* more aroma and consistently high grind quality over its entire service life. Combined with the eighth-generation brewing unit and the 3D brewing process, the result in the cup is truly sublime coffee. The E4 prepares double products in two cycles. This results in maximum aroma, because the user can take advantage of the variable brewing unit's full range of 5 to 16 grams of ground coffee for both cups.

Intelligent Water System

Use Jura Water Filters and you never have to descale the unit. RFID technology detects whether the new CLEARYL Smart mini (1,000 oz) or CLEARYL Smart (2,000 oz) is being used and adapts the settings automatically

Ground Coffee Drawer

In addition to the bean container, Jura coffee machines also have a container for ground coffee. You can use this to make a second type of coffee using ready ground coffee. To make drinks using ready-ground coffee, add a portion of ground coffee to the ground coffee chute. This allows you to make a decaffeinated coffee even if the bean container is already filled with regular coffee beans, for example. Only one portion of coffee or espresso can be prepared at a time when using ground coffee. Place a maximum of 0.4 oz (12 g) in the ground coffee chute.

Easy cleaning in the dishwasher. The ComfortClean system makes hygiene very easy. Many of the coffee machine parts, such as For example, the water container and the waste container can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. This contributes significantly to the proper maintenance of the appliance.

Ristretto / 2 x Ristretto

Ristretto: Single/Double. A concentrated, intense espresso. The same amount of ground coffee as espresso is prepared but with very half the water. That translates into a more robust taste, a little bit more sweet and syrup-like flavour. Ristretto is usually served with a glass of water. Ristretto is estimated to have less of a kick than espresso because less water would run through the beans.

Espresso: High-pressure and boiling water is forced through finely ground dry coffee for about 30 seconds to make espresso, creating a distinctive intense flavour and thick cream. Use espresso-roasted coffee beans for preparing espresso.

Cappuccino

Cappuccino: usually served in a 6oz cup, the Cappuccino is made with three equal portions of espresso, steamed milk and foam. It is important to mention that Cappuccino contains equal amounts of milk and froth, contributing to a stronger coffee flavour.

Latte Macchiato

Latte macchiato: Latte Macchiato is a milk-based espresso drink that emphasizes the milk than the espresso. Its served in a tall glass and has distinctive layers between the foam, espresso and milk with the foam on top, espresso below the foam and milk at the bottom. It is quite an appealing drink.
