The Miele Guard L1 is a German-made bagged canister vacuum for Canadian homes with thick carpet, heavy-shedding pets, and bare floors. Its height-adjustable 14-inch SEB 228 electric powerhead reaches deep into the pile for embedded dirt and pet hair, backed by a 5-year parts and labour warranty serviced in Canada.
Plush carpet is where most vacuums give up. The brush floats on top of the pile, pet hair stays woven into the fibres, and pushing the head across a thick rug feels like a workout. The Guard L1 ends that fight: Miele's most powerful powerhead adjusts to your pile height and propels itself forward, so you guide it instead of pushing it, and the bristles reach the base of the pile where pet hair and fine dust settle.

Customer service was fantastic! I wasn't sure which vacuum I needed. I spoke to a representative from the vacuum warehouse and he took the time to ask about my floors, lifestyle, and cleaning needs. My vac arrived quickly and works like a charm. The most surprising thing about it is how quiet it is. So nice that it doesn't startle the cats.

Received vacuum in a timely fashion. Had minor cosmetic damage on the wand that was damaged in transit (ON to MB). Received warranty replacement part within a week of reporting to Vacuum Warehouse. Appreciated the service and response which was done via email. Also, appreciated all of the information on their website, which aided in choosing a vacuum. Overall a good online shopping experience.

We have an old compacted carpet in the bedrooms, the hair got stuck in it and our Dyson was ineffective. We had to resort to using the small pet hair head that has wires poking out, but you have to hold it open and basically brush the whole floor by hand 4inches at a time. It was extremely tiring and time-consuming. We do have a lady helping to clean the house and she also was pleading to get a better solution because she was exhausted. I researched a lot and compared models and I’m so happy with our Miele vacuum! It doesn’t leave a thing on this carpet and cleaning has become easy! It’s an expensive investment but worth it and we were able to buy thanks to the sale and additional promos. Thanks so much!
Roy at the Vacuum Warehouse Support Team was really fair. Good customer service which is hard to find. I accidetently bought the wrong vacuum for my pile height and they helped me through the process. Though the Purolator charge was over $125 to return it, not their fault. Recommend buying from these folks.
